Many Days of Shopping: Prize Candle

I have a husband, 3 teenagers, 2 dogs, and 1 & 1/2 cats that reside in our home (the half cat is indoor/outdoor). So it's a struggle to keep it looking, and more importantly, smelling, nice. I'm forever dimming the lights and firing up the scented candles which kills 2 birds with one stoner... a messy house is much prettier by candle light.

Anyway, I discovered the candle that may have replaced my Yankee Candle obsession: PrizeCandle. You will want to stock up on these as gifts for everyone you know! Or you might just decide to keep them all for yourself...

These all natural soy candles, with a 100% cotton vegetable dipped wick, give the highest-end luminaries a run for their money. At a demure 9 ounces they really pack a punch! One candle will scent an entire room, without overwhelming the senses.

They burn clean and evenly for up to 40 hours, with none of the dreaded 'wax-ring-of-death' left on the sides due to cheap wax and ill-placed wicks.

With lush scents such as Antique Leather, Crème Brûlée, Provence Lavender, Honeysuckle, (and many more), they're sure to have something for everyone on your shopping list... and if you're unsure of your gifted's favorite scent, PC also offers gift cards.

With the Holidays approaching I went with the Cranberry Harvest scent. My daughter exclaimed that it was "the best smelling candle ever!" Reminiscent of a bowl of candied cranberries it's sweet without being cloying and spicy with none of the bite. Now if all that was not enough to convince you that this candle makes the perfect gift...

As I mentioned, these candles won't leave the wax-ring of death, but they will leave you with a ring... Yes you read that right, a ring. As in jewelry.

Jewelry!!

With rings ranging from $10 to $5000 you never know what you'll get, which is all part of the thrill! Will you get a $10 ring, a $500 ring, or a $3000 ring? It takes a little patience to find out, but once the candle starts burning down you'll notice something plastic poking up out of the wax...

And once it burns down far enough, (usually around hour six of burning), you'll be able to pluck it out. You'll want to snuff the candle out first, of course! You'll notice the sparkle before you even open the little package! But once you pop it open, there it is...

A sweet little treat for your fingers, all shiny and sparkly and beautiful! But that's not even the best part... You'll also notice a little slip of paper with a code on it. You'll then head on over to the Prize Candle website and enter the appraisal code to find out what your lovely new bauble is worth!

Sadly I didn't win the grand prize, however my home is now filled with the smell of holiday cheer! I guess I'll just have to burn my Holiday Spirit Prize Candle and try for that grand prize again! Ohhh, sorry, I meant give it as a Christmas present. Ha!

This one smells of snow covered pines!

  2. I really hope you can see comments. I'm a terrible gift giver when I don't know people very well. I have two brother-in-law's girlfriends who are younger than me who I need to buy birthday presents for. One just turned 24 and the other just turned 28. They're "kind" of family, but I don't know them well. We're not really "friends" but not strangers. I think these are super cute and was wondering if you would recommend them for gifts for younger ladies who are on the outskirts of the family circle. I fear gift-certificates will be appreciated but will highlight how little I know them. And they've been the girlfriends for years.... I love you!!! From one Vintage-loving mother to another.
